NEWTON, MA—Boston Real Estate Times, area’s premier source of commercial real estate news, announced that it will hold its 8th annual Senior Housing Summit on March 28 at Newton Marriott Hotel in Newton, MA.
“For the last eight years, we have hosted the senior housing and assisted living summits,” said Upendra Mishra, publisher of Boston Real Estate Times. “A lot has changed in senior housing and assisted living industry during these years. Our panelists will talk about the latest trends and changes in the senior housing and assisted living industry. We will start announcing our panelists next week.”
Currently, there are more than 240 assisted living residences in Massachusetts, providing over 15,000 apartment units and serving over 16,000 residents, according to Massachusetts Assisted Living Association, known as Mass-ALA.
Many of these facilities are upgrading and renovating and many new ones are being planned as Massachusetts population ages. Senior luxury living is also in demand. Ninety-two apartment Waterstone at the Circle, a luxury senior living community located at 385 Chestnut Hill Avenue in Boston, for example, recently opened its doors to residents.
